IMUS CAVITE | Food is always part of travelling. Everywhere I go I want to try out different flavors and it helps me remember the place even more. Since I am from Imus there is one restaurant that is becoming talk of the town and, when I had the chance to get away from work, we decided to give BANGKITO RESTAURANT previously known as DACEL’S RESTAURANT a try and check if the food was really delicious.
Located in Bautista St. Satorre Road, Poblacion 2-A in Imus, one noticeable landmark is the UNIDA basketball court that is blue in color and on that corner, you will find DACEL’S
The restaurant opens at 11:00 am, just in time for us to order lunch.
The place is nicely air conditioned, very cute and can accommodate around 50 persons. The interior is well decorated and the ambiance is very homey.
Time to look at the menu, and if I am in a new restaurant I always ask for their best sellers. Looking at the menu, the food was quite reasonably priced. Here is the food that we ordered:
FRESH CALAMANSI JUICE
GARLIC PRAWNS
These Garlic Prawns are to die for! One serving gives you 6 delectable prawns that are so addictive. After tasting it, I think I could finish one more serving. It’s that delicious!
LECHON KAWALI
I love Lechon Kawali and this is one at Dacel’s is my ultimate favorite. It was very crunchy, flavorful and very generous.
PANCIT CANTON
Another favorite to try is their Pancit Canton which is so good! There’s generous garnish on the canton and for noodle lovers, you are going to enjoy for sure!
KARE-KARE
I am not really a fan of Kare-Kare but this is one was different. I like the crunchy pork and the sauce was something I never tasted in the Kare-Kare it was delicious! I ended up ordering 2 cups of rice just because it’s that delicious! Oh, they also make their own SHRIMP PASTE and that adds to the mouthwatering flavor of their Kare-Kare
LECHE FLAN
Never leave Dacel’s without getting this super creamy and mouthwatering Leche Flan. It is so tasty and a single mouthful can lead to finishing the whole thing without even knowing it. This is a sure winner!
During our luncheon, we also had the chance to meet with the Head Chef Daryll Kamantigue De Ocampo who was born and raised in Imus, City. Listening to his story was quite inspirational and also how he started Dacel’s Restaurant. I just have to commend him for his delicious food and for everything.
