BANAUE RICE TERRACES | What to do and Where to Stay

BANAUE PHILIPPINES | Philippines offers so many places to explore. With that, we wanted to explore the northern part of the Philippines and that is the Banaue Rice Terraces.
There are two options to reach Banaue. One is from Baguio and the other one is from Solano. We decided to go the Solano Way. Left very early in Manila via Victory Liner tourist bus. Very spacious bus and slightly more expensive than the normal tourist bus. It took us almost the whole day travelling. Reached Solano and there were lots of jeepneys waiting for passengers going to Banaue. For us, when we first arrived, we felt like time stopped in Banaue. It’s so quiet, peaceful and felt like everything was in slow motion, compared to Manila where everything is in a rush! Banaue is a very relaxing place and should be visited by many.
First stayed at Green View Lodge. It’s located right in the middle of town and across from the Las Vegas Restaurant. The view from the lodge was amazing. Most of the B&B’s there have big windows for visitors to enjoy the amazing view of Banaue.
We booked ourselves in at Native Village Inn and Restaurant. We heard a lot of good reviews about this place and we want the feel of sleeping in one of their native houses.  This place also offers magnificent view of the rice terraces. We love this place so much and the owners were very accommodating and so friendly. We met a local guy there and decided to hire him to tour us around Banaue. We love Banaue a lot because of it’s natural beauty, friendly people and it’s a World Heritage Site. I will see you again Banaue!
