ALONA BEACH PANGLAO BOHOL |At the end of my solo trip around Negros Island, one of the main objectives was to attend the wedding of my cousin in Tagbilaran, Bohol. Alona Beach is a very special place for me since I’ve been visiting this beach for over 10 years and I’ve seen how this place has grown and no matter how busy it is now, I will still keep coming back here.
I’ve been searching for places to stay that is close to the beach and most of them are quite pricey, especially for a solo traveler like me. That was until I found Ging-Ging Homes.
Ging-Ging Homes has a small signage outside where you also find a merchandising store. Just remember it is front of the Alona Kew Hotel, this place is only a few minute walk to the beach which is perfect.
Going to Ging-Ging Homes, you need to walk through the shop and cross this narrow path going to the place.
Aside from providing accommodation, they provide tours around Bohol Island.
After an easy check-in, time to see what my room looked like. I also like how quiet it is inside the premises and the Wi-Fi worked really well around the area.
Each of the rooms has its own fence for privacy and I had my own balcony to myself
Inside the room was basic but perfect for a traveler who is on a budget just like me. My room is also air-conditioned so I didn’t have any problem sleeping.
Ging Ging Homes rate for my room: Php 850.00/night
Toilet and Bath. No heater so expect the water at room temperature. It’s not that bad really.

It is very seldom you find accommodation this cheap and close to Alona Beach, Bohol. You may find some but that means walking a distance. I actually had a lovely stay and with the price that I paid for 2 nights, I think it’s really worth it whether you are a solo traveler or on a budget.
