BACOOR CITY, CAVITE |Everybody deserves a break from a very productive day at work. I told myself what a better way to de-stress than to have a nice cup of coffee and treat myself to a nice meal. One place that is close to where I work is the Figaro Coffee Company. I invited some of my colleagues and to my surprise, they also felt the same way I did.

How Figaro Coffee Company started?

Founded in 1993, way before all these major coffee chains were present in Manila, a group of coffee lovers and enthusiasts got together and dreamt of a cafe where they could lounge and entertain friends and business associates; a relaxing place which fulfilled their demanding taste for great coffee, delicious pastries and excellent service. This dream developed into a concept and soon the concept became Figaro Coffee.
The name FIGARO was thought of by the directors as an idea to complete the Italian/European concept. They wanted to come up with a name that is widely recognized but not commercially and commonly used. The Figaro at V Central Mall Molino branch may not be as big when compared to the other coffee shops but I liked the ambiance and feel to it. It’s a place to catch up with your friends, organize small meetings, study groups or even a great place to review if you have major exams coming up.

As we were looking at the menu I saw that they had a Coffee Club Card that provides you with discounts and more. With the price of Php 150.00 and the minimum purchase of Php 500.00, we thought it was a good idea to get one which we did. I loved the design as it promotes our local coffee the Kapeng Barako.

  • Free 8oz cup of brewed coffee or 50% offon coffee drinks on your next transaction

  • Valid in all Figaro branches nationwide

Aside from the Coffee Club Card, Figaro now has an app that provides its members with opportunites to earn more points and rewards, find the nearest Figaro stores, promos, and you can even order your coffee or meals ahead with the use of the app available on Android and IOS.

One of the merchandise you can avail of is their coffee mugs that is inspired by our local Barako Coffee. It comes in black and white colors and each mug is priced at Php 350.00.

Since Figaro is a world-class Filipino brand, I like that they also promote and support our local coffee makers specially Barako Coffee. I wish I had a coffee machine like this at home. Just loved watching the barista’s as they prepared our special coffee.

Another thing that I like about Figaro aside from their wide coffee selection, they also serve gourmet food from salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and more. We tried some of their best sellers and they didn’t disappoint.They were delicious and we really enjoyed the food. I can’t wait till our next visit and try the other items on the menu.

Figaro Coffee Company really exceeded our expectations. We very much enjoyed our drinks, the food we had was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the place had a very relaxing atmosphere. We made the right choice by coming to Figaro and since it’s a Philippine brand, it also made us proud to also support the local coffee industry!
