Another awesome destination to visit if you are in Yorkshire is  this amazing Gothic inspired ruins of Whitby Abbey. This ruin led the famous author Bram Stoker to write his famous

fiction novel called Dracula. This gothic inspired ruin never ceases to amaze the tourist  with it’s spectacular location and landscape.

Bus tours are also available to tour Whitby Town itself which lies nestled in the small bay below the ruins.

This beautiful coast can be seen from the Whitby Abbey.

Whitby Abbey was recently named as the most romantic ruin. I totally agree!

Next to Whitby Abbey was a museum with a  replica of the famous Borghese gladiator statue.

The audio tour really helped us a lot to understand more about the history of Whitby Abbey.

Heading out to the ruin, I was really amazed on how beautiful  this ruin was inside and out.

Whitby Abbey is also considered as one of the most important archaeological sites in United Kingdom.

The architecture of Whitby Abbey was grand. And the details of this monastery were just a sight to see even if it’s now a ruin.

I was very happy that this was included on our list during our visit to Yorkshire.
