So many people might find it crazy but yes, 120km is crazy!
But I guess if you are doing this for a good cause, then that makes it a
completely different story.
Early this year, I lost my first pet, Mocha, due to a terrible kidney and liver disease. We were devastated by what happened. We did not know if we would ever be able
to move on from that loss.
to move on from that loss.
Until one day, as I was browsing through Facebook, I saw Philippine Animal Rescue Team. I checked their website and when I saw this picture, she was the one!
Her face reminded us so much of Mocha.
I immediately signed their online application and a few days
after Oasis became the new member of the family.
Now, Oasis and I, along with our other two fur kids are
living happily together and are so content.
Oasis turned out to be the most loving, sweetest and loyal dog – just like our departed Mocha and the other two members of the hairy family: Pogi and Whiskey. We even went trekking with them twice at Mt. Talamitam in Nasugbu, Batangas.
I thank the Philippine Animal Rescue Team (PART) for allowing us to adopt Oasis. This was a life-changing experience for us as we were really grateful to have her as part of our family.
Apart from being an animal lover, I also love to run long distances.
I enjoyed joining marathons and ultra marathons if time permits.
This September 26, 2014, I’ll be running my longest and maybe the hardest distance of my life – that is the IBTUR 120km to be held in the beautiful province of La Union. Last year, we were one of the IBTUR Pioneers who finished 88km in exactly 20 hours.
This year, IBTUR added another category which is the 120km. Since, I was one of the pioneers, I qualified for this distance. I felt that this was the right moment for me to run for a good cause. It is something I’ve dreamed of doing.
I love running and I love PART, that is why this event is dedicated to them and in their advocacy to help and rescue those animals in need.
I would like to ask for your support in this cause. Any pledge or donation is highly appreciated and would help save a lot of rescued animals.
