Huawei MateBook D 15 Laptop Unboxing & Review

Spread the love

I’ve been searching for a good laptop to use for quite some time, especially since my old one is about to give up (super slow). I’ve been looking around malls and online stores for a laptop suited to my requirements, and for some reason, I was always drawn to Huawei Matebook laptops. I am so happy I chose this laptop because it really exceeded my expectations.

I am not going to go much into specs, but as a Huawei MateBook D15 user and owner, here are some of the reasons why I enjoy using this laptop.

It has a larger screen.

Compared to Huawei D14, the D15 has a larger screen size of 15.6 inches. I am only used to netbooks before with a smaller screen. So this one really allows me to see photos, videos, text more clearly without putting my eyes close to the screen. It’s very clear too!

I like the design!

First I really like the color. I like that it’s not black or not in a fancy color. I am not really a fan of those. What I want is a masculine color, and grey is the perfect color for that! I appreciate the slim profile, and it’s also very light for its size.

Powerful processor!

With the AMD Ryzen 5, all I can say is, it’s very fast! I’ve been working on different pages, websites, and documents simultaneously, and up to this date, I’ve never experienced any lag, and for me, that was quite impressive!

Huawei Share

One of the primary reasons why I like this, aside from being powerful, was this feature. Since I am using a Huawei Mate 20 Pro, I can tap my phone on the Huawei Share sticker just below the keyboard, and there, it automatically connects to my phone. I could grab photos, files, or basically do anything on my phone to the laptop and the other way around. It’s very convenient actually, and it’s so easy and connects fast!

It has plenty of ports.

Now that most of the ports are using USB, the D15 has 3 USB ports from 2.0 and a 3.0. It also has an HDMI port for video and sounds. And in addition, similarly, with your mobile phones, you can make it wireless with the screen share option from your laptop to a Smart TV. That’s so convenient!

Built-in Finger Print Reader

We sometimes nag how we keep on entering passwords to log on to your computer; this saves you a little bit of time. Instead of typing your passwords, you can use this fingerprint reader to log on. It is so much more convenient, especially when I am in a rush to work on things.

Built-in Camera

I guess they put the camera in the keyboard section for added security, where you can close and open it when needed. I guess it’s a good thing, especially you don’t know who’s checking on your computer and not aware that someone is already looking at you secretly on your webcam. The ability to close it gives it more security.

It’s just I am not sure about the angle of the camera; I wish it could be at eye level, which is a better angle to be viewed from. But it’s ok. I have a plug-and-play web camera that I can use. It’s not a big issue at all!

Long Battery Life

Huawei MateBook D15 uses a type C charger, which also works for my mobile phone. That’s great! The battery life lasts really long, and it doesn’t get too warm underneath, which I think is good.

When we bought the Huawei MateBook D15 laptop, it also comes with a laptop bag, which is very handy. It has side pockets where you can put the charger and the mouse. To sum it all up, I am pleased with this laptop by a mile. This is what I actually needed, excellent design, more than enough power, easy-sharing, a bigger screen, and so much more!

I don’t want to go into too many details regarding specs, but based on the reviews and other articles I’ve read, this is definitely one of the best laptops one could have! I am now starting to believe them!
