San Juan La Union has become a prime tourist destination in the Province of La Union. And with that, also comes a destination for those tourists wanting to have a different taste for their palates. One restaurant that we tried during our stay in Urbiztondo, San Juan is the GEFSEIS GREEK GRILL RESTOBAR.
GEFSEIS comes from a Greek word flavors, and that is what the restaurant aims to give to their customers and that I could not wait to try. The restaurant serves traditional Greek dishes that suit the Filipino and foreign tastes. In addition, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
GEFSEIS is also located on the beach front giving you a perfect view of all the action that is taking place at the beach. The restaurant is often busy so we were very lucky to find a table with a view. With me are my friend Jobats, and a native from La Union, Andrew.
The Greek inspired decor really matched the whole ambiance of the restaurant specially its distance from the beach.
GEFSEIS FOOD
For drinks, we ordered their GEFSEIS Iced Tea which was nice and refreshing. You can also taste that the tea is home brewed and a slice of lemon adds more flavor to the tea. I just wish it was a bigger serving.
For starters, we ordered for a KOPANISTI – A traditional greek dip with feta cheese, roasted peppers, garlic, and olives for Php 160.00
Another starter to try is Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese For Php 180.00
For our main courses, we tried the Grilled Tuna with a side salad and Greek style rice for Php 300.00
And one of their best sellers, the KEBAB PLATTER which is a mix of different kebabs from ground lamb, beef, pork meats with fries, tomato, onion with parsley, homemade sauce, garlic and hot sauce. It can either be served with pita bread or rice for Php 380.00
Geifsis Greek Grill Resto Bar is actually a nice place to go to for those wanting to taste something different in San Juan. Prices are a bit more competitive compared to other restaurants around the area. I really enjoyed the Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese a lot! So, if you are there to explore different flavors, then GEIFSIS Greek Resto is a must try!
