GENERAL TRIAS CAVITE | In the very historical province of Cavite, it is evident that more tourists are visiting this province each year because of its rich culture and its proximity to Metro Manila . With the influx of tourists, more hotels and other hospitality establishments are sprouting up around. One of the more notable that is now the talk of the town is THE BAYLEAF – CAVITE.
Basically next to Lyceum of the Philippines University – Cavite, The Bayleaf Cavite is now ready to show what first class hotel accommodation really feels like. Last weekend, with much excitement, we booked ourselves for a weekend stay cation.
THE LOBBY
As you enter the lobby of The Bayleaf Cavite, you can almost feel the luxury of the place. The color scheme, the minimalist design and the big open space complement the glamorous touches of the hotel and engance the historical value of the Province of Cavite to our country. You are left with the feeling that you are checking into one of the top hotels in Metro Manila.
Bayleaf Room
They accommodated us in a Superior Twin Room located on the fourth floor. When I entered the room, I was really surprised how elegant our room looked. The rooms at The Bayleaf Cavite range from Php 4000.00 up to Php 10,000.00.
The color enhances the warmth and coziness of the room. The bed was firm and very very comfortable.
Complimentary toiletries
Complimentary Teas and Coffees are also available for guests.
Bayleaf Dining Experience
There are two restaurants at The Bayleaf Cavite. The ATRIUM which is located on the 2nd floor forming the center of the building where buffet breakfasts are normally served.
Another restaurant in the hotel is The FIELDS which is located on the 8th floor. If you want to enjoy a good dining experience with a nice view of Cavite, then you need to try the Fields.
The interior of Fields restaurant was very welcoming despite the fact that it was very spacious. I looked forward to sampling their food.
For starters, I ordered the Chimichanga with 3 different refreshing sauces. It’s definitely a must try!
Another flavorful starter to try is the Meat Ball Tomato Soup.
And for the main dish, I asked for their best seller and they served their Bayleaf Burger. It was a mouth-watering burger with chips on the side. Over all, it was a great dining experience with a varied menu offering western and local cuisine.
THE VIEW
On a clear day, this was the view from our room overlooking the rest of General Trias as far as Manila Bay and Metro Manil
The Bayleaf Cavite is considered one of the highest structure in the peaceful town of General Trias. It is also located next to a very well-known University in Cavite which is the Lyceum of the Philippines University.
BREAKFAST
Since there was a big group holding an event during our stay. They occupied the Atrium on the 2nd level and other guests were told that the breakfast would be served at The Fields. The choice of food was not as varied compared to other hotels in Metro Manila. But the usual breakfast favorites were being served like bacon, sausages, porridge, mixed fruits, salads, and assorted baked goods..
Bayleaf Swimming Pool
If there is one thing I always look for when on a staycation that is the swimming pool. And here at The Bayleaf Cavite, their swimming pool was just so inviting. After breakfast, I immediately changed into my swimming outfit and just relaxed next to the pool to enjoy the sun and the refreshing water.
The Bayleaf Cavite has really stepped up the game in terms of luxury accommodation in Cavite specially in General Trias. This hotel is highly recommended to almost everybody whether you are tourist, with families, business people who are looking for a hotel on the quiet side of Cavite and wanting to experience first class service at its best. Definitely, a hotel of choice for me!
