SkyJet Airlines collaborated with The Office of the President, 250th Presidential Airlift Wing (PAW), OSAP, PMS and The Office of Senator Bong Go in mounting charity rescue flights to Davao, General Santos City, and Iloilo to help Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) from the said provinces affected by the nationwide community quarantine and travel restrictions.

The rescue flights were made possible through the efforts of its Chairman, Wilson Tieng while working closely with The Office of the President and Office of Senator Bong Go in making the flights possible. The airline has deployed its BAE 146-200 aircraft to mount the aforementioned charity rescue flights helmed by Skyjet’s chief Pilot Capt John Jatico and his crew.

The first flight departed last July 18, 2020 to Davao, followed by another round trip flight to General Santos and Iloilo on July 19, 2020 and July 20, 2020 respectively.

The effort is in line with the company’s CSR promise to serve Filipinos and help LSIs be reunited with their families especially at a time when cross-province and inter-island travel is limited.

The said rescue flights were also made possible thanks to the assistance and coordination with the Philippine Air Force, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, Department of Health, DSWD, PMS RFUs 6, 11, and 12, and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
